Alright I'm in Delhi and I have a cold.
Who gave me a cold. Who can I blame.
Clearly not my fault. It's not like I've been stressed, had nightmares, haven't been sleeping, sporadic meals.
Nope. Definitely not my fault.
Should probably get my scarf back.
Anywho.
We've come full circle.
A year ago I was in Delhi and here we are a year later.
Alright fine, this time its only until Sunday and not a full seven months, but still. If I had it my way I wouldn't leave.
Delhi has been my refuge the last three and a half years.
Delhi has been my sense of security.
Delhi has been my home.
Okay. I'm not actually sure where I'm going with this.
But humor me.
I think I left off after the Dives.
I'd like to say loads happened since then, but actually.
I've become an actual adult and did adult things.
Actually, before I continue, just in case you forget where I was all of August:
It was what I needed then to ease back into being in Europe.
Because.
Europe.
No.
Cold.
Gray.
Bluhh.
University started up again (and god please let this be my last year).

Anywho. Lets get started!
I'm excited.
Actually no I'm hopped up on coffee. And banana bread. And coffee. And cinnamon rolls.
September
September was nice.
I went to Amsterdam.
Because.
Europe.
No.
Cold.
Gray.
Bluhh.
University started up again (and god please let this be my last year).
*Imagine picture of something school related*
(Actually. Don't. Thats quite depressing)
October
So remember I vowed to travel to a "new" place each month?
Well.
I did.
Not do that.
Nope.
That didn't happen.
That didn't happen.
Instead I went to Amsterdam again.
But that's not interesting.
So instead here's a view from the summer:
November
November! Yes! Alright.
This month was coolbeans.
Well. A week in this month was coolbeans.
Okay a long weekend in this month was coolbeans.
Riana and I went to Sofia, Bulgaria!
Okay I know what you're thinking "why would you go to Bulgaria?"
Well.
Let me tell you a little something.
About Sofia.
The flights were dirt cheap.
That's why.
We climbed a mountain.
I tried climbing this rock and Riana got mad at me and told me "Aditi Luykx if you fall off that thing and die, I'll be really mad at you."
This was thus my response.
We saw some historical stuff. Actually this place was quite cool. It's called the "square of tolerance." Four different religions come together on this square, and to avoid the risk of sounding incredibly ignorant, I'm not going to name them.
Seeeee? We climbed the mountain and reached a waterfall.
December
December I decided to stick around Belgium.
In hindsight, probably should have headed somewhere warmer.
Like. Cape Verde.
This was my December:
Me: See? My phone is broken.
3yr old: You need a new phone.
Me: Yes but I have no money.
3yr old: We will buy you a new phone. We have money.
Thanks kid.
December was just a bit... weird.
Except for poké bowls. And bagels. And. Breakfast at 2pm?
Lets just fast-forward to January.
January
![]() |
| This was actually January last year but its fine. It's okay. No one has to know. |
January started out quite cool.
Had my very first actual job interview.
Though it may bring luck for some, a donut t-shirt was not worn.
Actually, maybe I should have.
To be honest, the first two weeks of January weren't great.
Exams seriously take a massive toll. All two of them.
I turned 24 this year.
That's me at 4. Not 24. Close enough.
24.
I feel. Old.
This birthday was a bit odd.
No waffles.
A birthday without waffles isn't a real birthday.
Also you know, the fact that people were sick/different countries/exams made it difficult to celebrate.
But hey, three days later and I'm in Delhi.
And I've got this guy who won't suddenly drop me:
The rest of the year looks promising:
- Nada Surf
- Belle and Sebastian
- Arcade Fire
- Bali
- London
Happy days.
Well. I'm going to crash now.
I'll leave you on this note:
This post comes randomly, I know. Going from 23 to 24 hasn't been my easiest year. But to be honest, who these days has been having an easy year. You've got people suddenly doubting everything they do, everyone they hang out, every move they make; terrified they'll make a wrong move which in turn makes them make wrong moves and thus end up hurting people they don't mean to. This in no way determines who a person is. Good people with big hearts stay good people with big hearts. They just need to remember that they're good people with big hearts.
Right well that was something reasonably out of character of me to end with.
OH.
Watch the movie Baby Driver.
Just do it.
